É o segundo álbum da era pós-Danzig e o último com Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein Michale Graves e Dr. Chud, que sairiam em 2000.
O título do álbum é uma alusão à revista de terror/ficção científica Famous Monsters of Filmland, de quem os Misfits emprestaram sua fonte clássica de logotipo.
